After our protagonist changed his clothes with a black polo and a pair of jeans, he puts on his loafers and grabs his bag hanging from the door’s hook. He goes downstairs and bids his mom goodbye who’s busy cooking their dinner.
“Where to?” she asks him.
“Uh, outside.” He can’t tell her he’s going to have a date.
“You’re going on a date,” she replies as if reading our protagonist’s mind. He blushes. “Go on. Enjoy.”
He says his thanks and kisses her on the cheeks. He rarely does it.

They were dining alfresco; our protagonist and his love. Soul mate, he often calls her. He watches her as she puts the spoon in her lips. Beautiful, he tells himself. She takes another sip of her soup when she realizes her boyfriend is staring at her.
“Something wrong?” she asks. He does not respond, instead he looks down on his plate of grilled salmon and plays with the boiled peas with his fork. She repeats her question.
He looks at her eyes, they were pretty. ”No. Nothing. It’s just…” She is waiting for the protagonist’s reply obviously. She blinks and he thinks it was the most beautiful moment. “It’s just that…” She stares more intently. “I don’t love you anymore.” As if on cue, Sitti finished the last note of her song.
The girl puts down her spoon gently, gets her clutch sitting on the table and stands up. “I know,” she says.
The protagonist is shocked, it’s painted on his face. “I loved you,” he manages. “I won’t forget you.”
“Please do.” And with those two words, she walks away as if nothing happened. His gaze follows her as she goes out of the restaurant. Just as she was out of his sight, he swears he saw her wipe her tears.

Our protagonist changes clothes; a red cotton shirt and navy blue shorts. He throws his body in his bed and thinks over what happened a while back. The great ambiance and food marred by his heartbreaking words. He stares at the ceiling when suddenly a tear falls down his cheek. He didn’t bother to wipe it. I loved her.

I envy you. The first thing that came to my mind when I read Day 2’s prompt was, well, a killer couple. Fred and Rose West, that sort of couple. -__-
